7-Day Challenge - Shoot a Local Show in just 7 Days!

Be in the Photo Pit Next Weekend!

Do you have a band that you are friends with? Want to shoot concerts, but don't know where to start? Do you want to be proud to show off the photos you take of your favorite bands?

If you enjoy music and like to share that with your friends, being a concert photographer is a great way to increase your ability to support local artists. Bands appreciate the photos, you get a deeper enjoyment of the local music scene, and you always have really cool photos to share on social media.

Join in this 7-Day Challenge to take your small-venue photos to the next level.

In this Challenge, you will get to:

  • Better understand your camera settings to get the best shot of musicians on small stages with less lighting.
  • Learn about 10 shots you can model to increase the quality of your photos immediately.
  • Learn how to provide a band the shots they are looking for, to help them spread their art.
  • Quickly and easily manipulate your photos in Adobe Lightroom to achieve the best results.

You don't need a high-quality camera to get better shots. You need to understand the tools you have at your command, better composition skills, and the ability to shoot RAW photos, rather than JPEG. Much of what you will learn in this challenge can be transferred to how you shoot with your mobile device, with a few tweaks - the concepts are the same.

Sign up now and let's shoot a show next weekend!

Barry Nadler

I have worked in media for most of my professional career. I have worked in broadcast television, convention Audio/Visual, low-budget film-making, and corporate training (as an instructional designer/media developer). Because I didn't have enough to do with all that, I decided to shoot photos and video for a local haunted attraction, A Petrified Forest, located in Central Florida. Two years ago, this led me to take my love for media and rock music and combine them into concert photography.

I have shot in small venues, mid-sized venues, arenas, and festivals. I have shot local bands, as well as national acts.

National acts I have shot include:

  • Sixx AM
  • Shinedown
  • Five Finger Death Punch
  • Breaking Benjamin
  • In Flames
  • Evenesence
  • Sevendust
  • Nonpoint
  • Alter Bridge
  • Jason Aldean
  • Brad Paisley
  • Michael Ray
  • Jimmy Buffett

Along with photography, I also shoot video. I have been the videographer of choice for six local bands, when they needed music videos created. I have done music videos for:

  • Kill the Sound (Two videos)
  • Meka Nism
  • SoulSwitch
  • Martyrs Asylum
  • Bothering Dennis

I have a passion for sharing what I have learned and seeing others succeed with their goals. Let me help you accomplish whatever concert photo and video goals you have for yourself!
